A Rare Conversation With Archbishop Hannan On Lent
Feb 22, 2021 • Archbishop Philip Hannan
Lent is a 40-day season of preparation for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. This season begins with Ash Wednesday when priests mark the foreheads with ashes as a reminder that we are created from dust and to dust we shall return.
During Lent, we follow Jesus from his adult ministry through his suffering during Holy Week and his crucifixion and death on Good Friday.
In this rare and personal interview, founder of Focus, the late Archbishop Philip Hannan, explains Lent and Lenten practices as he relates personal stories of his own family practices during the Lenten season. As he explains fasting, penitence and self-denial, his candid and sometimes humorous stories are sure to educate and entertain!
